A brief introduction to Jainism
Jainism is an ascetic religion of India, founded in the sixth century B.C., that teaches transmigration of the soul and denies the existence of a perfect or supreme being. While most religions have split into more than one camp over doctrine, the only doctrinal split in Jainism is over the issue of whether or not the ascetics should wear clothes or not.
